Professional Development

IIC, Inc. is dedicated to the growth and development of our professional staff. Our challenging work environment stimulates critical thinking and expert problem-solving. All staff members are given responsibility to perform analysis, provide input on resolving issues, and manage their time efficiently. Research assistants as well as associates and principals will have direct contact with clients, and will be involved in not only project work, but marketing and new business development. Our small size and diverse interests allow all members of the firm to work in different areas and gain new knowledge and expertise.

We employ a career development model at IIC, Inc. that is different from many other consulting firms. All members of the firm have the opportunity to develop skills, no matter their background or prior work experience. We have had several entry-level research assistants be promoted to associates and associates move on to become principals in the firm. Our philosophy is to invest heavily in human capital, and in order to reap the rewards from that investment for many years. We have an excellent track record and many of our research assistants do ultimately return to excellent graduate schools in business, economics, international studies, and law.

Our senior staff conducts professional reviews of all staff members at least once a year, and more frequently if requested. We also provide continual, on the job feedback within the context of individual assignments and projects. Each project team meets on a regular basis to review progress, set goals, and provide feedback.
