Investigation into the Current Run-Up in Gasoline Prices. Between
mid-December and mid-March, U.S. gasoline prices rose to historically
high levels. Our review of the events shows that crude oil costs

The
Arctic National Wildlife Refuge: A Contribution to the U.S. The Arctic
Wildlife Refuge: A Contribution to the U.S. Energy Security?
Opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) was considered a
distinct possibility during the fall and winter of 2001–2002. A White
House plan, adopted by the U.S. House of Representatives, would have
opened ANWR for oil drilling and was promoted as a means of reducing

Midwest and other parts of the country skyrocketed, exceeding $2.00 per
gallon in various cities in the Midwest. So-called gasoline price
"spikes" have become increasingly common in the United States, and such
volatility has prompted inquiry and study from government regulators,
Congress, and many states' Attorneys General. [Read more] |
